When ShipFast is the right choice
ShipFast is a respected indie tool for a real reason. If your situation matches any of these, $199 is well spent:
- You can code in Next.js and TypeScript. The bottleneck is boilerplate, not engineering judgment.
- You're a solo indie hacker shipping a side project, not a venture-track startup with paying customers waiting.
- You want the Marc Lou Discord and the leaderboard culture as part of the deal.
- Your budget is in the hundreds, not the tens of thousands.
ShipFast is good at what it is. Different category, not a worse one.
When Downshift is the right choice
Downshift is a different shape on purpose. Pick Downshift if any of these match:
